Passport Required. Mexico requires a valid passport for entry. No visa is needed for U.S. citizens traveling for tourism.

Bring whoever you'd like on your trip! However, we're only able to accommodate guests named on the invitation at the wedding.

August in Tulum is warm, tropical, and lush. Expect hot and humid days with temperatures typically in the high 80s to low 90s°F (around 31–33°C), warm evenings in the mid-70s°F (around 24–26°C), and occasional tropical rain showers. It's part of the green season, so everything is vibrant and beautiful—just plan for sunshine, humidity, and the chance of quick passing rain.

Mexico uses the Mexican peso (MXN), but many places in Tulum also accept US dollars in tourist areas. That said, we recommend having pesos for the best exchange rates, small shops, taxis, and local spots. ATMs are widely available if needed.

We recommend drinking only bottled or filtered water during your stay. Most hotels and restaurants provide safe drinking water. The ocean is generally safe for swimming, though conditions can vary with currents and seasonal seaweed (sargassum), so always pay attention to local guidance.

Like many tropical destinations, there can be mosquitoes in Tulum, especially in the evenings and after rain. We recommend taking standard precautions. If you have personal health concerns, it's always best to check with your doctor before traveling.
